Structured Wiring and Prewire

We design and install low voltage structured wiring for new builds, remodels and additions across the greater Phoenix area. That is the network, AV, speaker, camera and shade wiring every smart system in the house rides on, pulled before drywall, labeled, tested and documented.

Wireless gets all the attention, but every reliable smart home is wired underneath. Access points, TVs, cameras and audio all do better on copper, and the hour it takes to pull a wire before drywall is nothing next to opening a finished wall later.

• Network: cat6 or cat6a to the TV locations, office desks, access point positions and camera mounts.
• Audio: speaker wire to the in-ceiling positions for every room and patio zone you might ever want music in.
• Video: wiring for the displays and the paths between the rack and the TVs.
• Security: camera drops at the entries and corners, doorbell and intercom wiring, alarm sensor runs.
• Shades: power or control wiring at the window headers, so motorized shades are an easy yes later instead of a battery compromise.
• Enclosure and rack path: a proper low voltage panel or rack location with ventilation and power, not a closet somebody thought of last.
• Conduit where it counts: a few smurf-tube runs to the key walls keep the house upgradeable for decades.
• Documentation: every run labeled and tested, and you keep the wiring map. The trades after us, and the owner after you, know exactly what is in the walls.

• New construction: after framing and the other trades rough in, before insulation and drywall. That is the golden window. Get us the plans early and the wiring plan is ready when the frame is.
• Remodels: any wall that is already open is an opportunity. A kitchen or great room remodel is the natural moment to add speaker, TV and camera wiring.
• Existing homes: single-story Arizona attics make a lot of retrofit runs practical. We'll tell you honestly which ones are easy, which are ugly, and which are not worth doing.

A good prewire plans for what comes next: the office that becomes a nursery and then an office again, the blank patio wall that becomes an outdoor TV, the pool that is not there yet. Wire is cheap during construction. Regret is not. We lay the plan out with you, or with your builder, room by room off the floor plan.

• Plan review: we take your floor plan and come back with a low voltage wiring plan with every drop marked.
• Fixed proposal, signed by an owner.
• Rough-in: wire pulled, secured and protected before drywall, worked in around your GC and the other trades.
• Verification: every run tested and labeled before the insulation covers it up.
• Trim-out: plates, speakers, access points and rack equipment installed at finish, ready for the systems that follow.
