It is a budgeting tool, not a quote. It frames the scope so the conversation starts in the right place, and your real number comes from a walkthrough and a fixed, line item proposal.
Why does the range sometimes feel wide?
Each tier covers a range of real projects. New build versus existing, and how much you add within a tier, both move you toward the low or high end. A walkthrough narrows it to a fixed number.
Does a consultation cost anything?

Can I start small and add on later?
Yes, and most clients do. Control4 scales, so a first phase built on a solid network and wiring foundation grows without starting over.
