Home Networking and WiFi

We design and install enterprise-grade home networks across the greater Phoenix area: a wired backbone, access points placed where the coverage actually has to be, and remote management. Streaming, cameras, working from home and the smart home all run without the weekly router reboot.

It is almost always the block and stucco. The same walls that keep the heat out keep your WiFi in the front room, so one router, or a mesh kit relaying through those same walls, leaves dead spots all over a Phoenix floor plan.

The fix is not another gadget. Wire the backbone, then place enough access points that every part of the house has something strong nearby.

• Router and firewall sized for a busy household, not the box the internet company left you.
• Wired backbone: cat6 runs to the access points, TVs, cameras and offices. If it stays put, it should be on a wire.
• Access points: ceiling or wall mounted, placed off the floor plan and the construction, so one WiFi name follows you through the house and out to the patio and the pool.
• Switching and rack: labeled, documented and easy to service, somewhere with enough air to survive an Arizona garage.
• WattBox power management: surge protection for the electronics and a remote reboot for the gear that occasionally needs one, which earns its keep every monsoon season.
• Remote management: we can see how the network is doing and fix most of it without sending a truck.
• Separate networks where they belong: guests and smart home devices kept off the network that has your computers and your files on it.

An 1,800 square foot single-story is a completely different design than a 5,500 square foot two-story with a casita and a pool. We build it off the floor plan: construction type, square footage, how many devices you have (a modern smart home carries 50 to 100 without trying), and where you actually sit with a laptop.
