We design and install Control4 and Crestron smart home systems, security and surveillance, home theater, whole house audio, lighting control, and networking across the city, from gated golf communities like DC Ranch and Silverleaf to established neighborhoods around McCormick Ranch and Grayhawk.

What do Scottsdale's luxury communities expect from a smart home system?

Scottsdale's higher end neighborhoods, DC Ranch, Silverleaf, Grayhawk, and Troon North among them, tend to have larger, architecturally detailed homes where equipment needs to disappear into the design rather than sit on top of it. Keypads, in-wall speakers, concealed racks, and cameras chosen and placed for how they look as much as how they perform are the norm on these projects, not an upgrade. Many of these homes also have extensive outdoor living space, casitas, and pools, which turns audio, lighting, and security into a whole-property project rather than a single building. For that level of finish we design primarily on Control4 and Crestron, the two platforms built for this scale of home.

Working within Scottsdale's HOA and architectural review standards

Gated communities like DC Ranch and Silverleaf have detailed architectural review requirements that cover exterior equipment, camera placement, and even satellite and antenna visibility. We design installs to work within those standards from the outset, and we are used to submitting equipment plans for architectural review when a community requires it. Established neighborhoods like McCormick Ranch and Grayhawk have their own, generally lighter HOA rules, but the same discipline applies: nothing visible that does not need to be.

Golf and desert-adjacent properties bring long sight lines and more exterior glass, both of which raise the bar on shade and lighting design against direct desert sun. Larger lots and detached structures mean the network has to reach further than a standard access point plan, and casitas and guest houses need their own coverage rather than relying on WiFi from the main house. Monsoon season and summer heat hit Scottsdale the same way they hit the rest of the Valley, so every equipment rack we install gets surge protection and proper ventilation.
